Getting started as an owner
Create your account, set up your organization in five steps, and try the demo account.
PropFit helps you fill a vacancy with renters who meet the criteria you publish, and explains every match. Setup takes about 10 minutes.
Create your account
Choose Create your account and sign up with your email and a password, or a passkey. After you sign up you land on the Welcome page. From there:
- Set up my first property starts setup.
- Explore demo account opens a read-only sample account so you can look around first.
If someone invited you to their team, accept the invitation instead of setting up a new organization. See Team members and roles.
The five setup steps
- About you: whether you own the homes you rent out, manage homes for owners, or operate a rental portfolio, and roughly how many doors (rental units) you have. This never affects who matches.
- Business details: where your rentals are, your legal name, a business name if you use one, and your entity type.
- Verify identity: a quick check of who you are and that you may list these homes. See Getting your organization verified.
- First property: the address, type and first unit (bedrooms, bathrooms). You can add or import the rest later.
- Criteria: your income requirement (2× to 4× the rent), an optional minimum credit score, and whether you accept a guarantor instead. See Criteria and the compliance check.
You can leave and come back: setup picks up where you stopped. When you’re done, you’ll be asked to protect your account with two-step verification, and to choose a plan if you don’t have one yet.
Add more homes
Go to Properties to add a property, or import many at once from a CSV file. The import shows every row and any problems before anything is saved.
