Getting your organization verified
PropFit checks who you are and that you may list your homes before you can publish. What’s checked and how long it takes.
Renters trust a listing more when they know the owner is real. Before you can publish, PropFit verifies your organization with two checks:
- Your identity: your full legal name, as it appears on your government ID.
- Authority to list: you confirm that you own these properties, or that the owner has authorized you to list and lease them, and that you can provide a deed or management agreement if asked.
Your organization is verified once both checks are verified. Only an owner or admin of the organization can start verification. Verified owners get a “Verified owner” mark on their printed flyers.
How long it takes
Most checks finish straight away. If one needs a closer look, it shows In review by PropFit, and we usually finish within 1 business day. You can keep setting up while you wait.
Statuses
- Verified: you’re done.
- In progress or In review by PropFit: we’re checking.
- More information needed: open verification from your dashboard and add what’s asked.
- Not verified: we couldn’t verify your details. Send us a message and we’ll help.
What waits for verification
You can add properties and draft vacancies while verification is pending. These wait until you’re verified:
- publishing a vacancy
- prospects, tours, applications, reports and details renters share with you
To check your status, open Dashboard. If anything is needed, choose Open verification.
