Record a lease
Mark a vacancy leased, choose who leased it, and how the renter confirms it. Plan your next vacancy before a lease ends.
Mark a vacancy leased
- On the vacancy, choose Mark leased.
- Under Who leased it?, choose the renter: someone who applied, someone you referred, another match, or someone who didn’t come through PropFit.
- Enter when the lease starts, when it ends (optional, so PropFit can remind you before it ends) and the monthly rent if it differs from the listed rent.
- Choose Yes, mark leased.
Other applicants are told the home is no longer available.
The renter confirms
If the renter came through PropFit, they’re asked to confirm they leased the home, or to say it isn’t right. The Lease card on the vacancy shows who confirmed it.
Leases and the success fee
A lease with a renter PropFit recovered or referred may carry a success fee. The Lease card says whether it’s a direct lease (no success fee) or a recovered lease, and offers Dispute attribution and Lease fell through. See The success fee.
