Co-applicants and guarantors
Apply with the people you’ll live with, or with a guarantor. Each person’s details stay private and each decides what to share.
Your household
Under Household, invite the people you’ll apply with. Everyone in a household sees the same matches, but each person’s income, credit and documents stay private to them.
When you invite someone, choose their role:
- Co-applicant: will live in the home and sign the lease. Their income can count, and their credit is checked too.
- Guarantor: won’t live in the home but backs the lease. Only their income is checked.
PropFit doesn’t email invitations yet: copy the invitation link and send it to each person yourself. Invitations last 14 days. The person signs in or creates an account, then accepts the invitation. Anyone can leave a household whenever they want.
Adding people to an application
On your application, under Co-applicants and guarantors, choose Add to this application for someone already in your household, or Send invitation to invite someone new.
What each person decides
Each person signs in, opens Applications, and sees exactly what the owner would see from them. They choose what to share (identity, income, credit, contact details) and for how long (7, 30 or 90 days), as their own decision. Each person authorizes their own background and credit check, and can Stop sharing at any time.
You can see who is on your application and what each person shares, but never their numbers.
When access ends
The owner’s access to someone’s details ends when that person stops sharing or their sharing ends, when they’re taken off the application or leave the household, or when the application is withdrawn or expires.
